It is said that weddings are a great place to meet people. This could not be more true for Tyler and Bridget. The two met at Bridget’s older sister’s wedding. Tyler’s older brother, Todd, was a groomsmen, and mentioned to Tyler that there was going to be a girl at the wedding Tyler should meet. During the reception, Bridget and Tyler were introduced and the proceeded to dance to “Don’t Stop Believing,” the first song played during their own reception. Many look back at the first night Tyler and Bridget met and remember the introduction of Bridget to Tyler’s father. Upon meeting him, she said, “Hi! I’m your future daughter-in-law!” This spring, those words became true.
For Tyler and Bridget’s engagement photos, we visited Tyler’s workplace, a local fire station. The firefighter theme carried on to the wedding with a ring pillow made of old turn outs, a fireman’s helmet as the flower girl’s basket, and a helmet incorporated into the cake topper. The cake topper also brought in the couple’s other theme: football teams. With the Denver Broncos as Tyler’s team and the Chicago Bears as Bridget’s, the couple incorporated these colors into their wedding with blue and orange. I love how these two personalized their wedding!
Tyler and Bridget have become such a special couple to me. I photographed the beautiful moment that Tyler proposed, their engagement, and now their wedding. It’s couples like this that make me love my job even more. My work lets me get to know wonderful people and be a part of some of the most important moments in their lives. I hope to be a part of many more moments of Tyler and Bridget’s future.
