He’s from Louisiana. She’s from Oregon. They met in Hawaii. Talk about two worlds colliding!
On her last night visiting Hawaii for work, Kimberly met Matthew, who was stationed in Honolulu with the U.S. Coast Guard. “My world has never been the same since,” says Kimberly. The two spent the whole night talking. This night led to countless texts and visiting each other whenever they could throughout the following year.
In 2014, Matthew and Kimberly got married in Portland, Oregon. “Out of all the days to plan a sweet and simple elopement, the city was surprisingly blanketed in snow overnight and we got married in front of family while snowflakes flew all around us. It was one of the most magical and memorable days of our lives!”
After relocating to Alameda, California, the two discovered they were having twins! Wayde was going to be a big brother! “I cannot even express to you the excitement we had as our daughters were first placed into our hands. Our life is full of laughter, chaos, chasing twin toddlers and a lot of love!”
